Article Withdrawal Policy

The International Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Electronics (IJAICE) follows internationally accepted standards of scholarly publishing and maintains a strong commitment to academic integrity, transparency, and the preservation of the scholarly record.

The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board are solely responsible for deciding which manuscripts submitted to the journal are accepted and published. These decisions are based on the journal’s editorial policies, peer review recommendations, and compliance with ethical and legal publishing standards, including issues related to plagiarism, copyright infringement, and academic misconduct.

Published articles constitute part of the permanent scholarly archive, and therefore articles that have been formally published should remain accessible and unchanged whenever possible. However, in rare and exceptional circumstances, it may be necessary to withdraw, retract, remove, or replace an article to maintain the integrity of the academic record.

Article Withdrawal

Article withdrawal applies to accepted manuscripts or “Articles in Press” that have been accepted for publication but have not yet been formally assigned to a journal issue.

An article may be withdrawn in the following situations:

  • The article was accidentally submitted or duplicated.
  • Significant errors are identified before final publication.
  • The manuscript is found to violate publication ethics, including plagiarism, multiple submission, false authorship claims, or fraudulent data.
  • The article contains serious technical or ethical issues identified during the final editorial review.

When an article is withdrawn:

  • The article content (PDF and HTML) will be removed from the journal platform.
  • A notice will replace the article indicating that the manuscript has been withdrawn according to the journal’s Article Withdrawal Policy.
  • The withdrawal will be recorded for transparency in the journal archive.

Article Retraction

Retraction is used when a published article is found to contain serious ethical violations or significant errors that invalidate the research findings.

Reasons for article retraction may include:

  • Plagiarism or significant similarity with previously published work
  • Duplicate or multiple publication of the same research
  • Fraudulent or manipulated data
  • False authorship claims
  • Serious research errors that invalidate the conclusions
  • Ethical violations in research or publication practices

In case of retraction:

  • A Retraction Notice titled “Retraction: [Article Title]” will be published in a subsequent issue of the journal.
  • The notice may be issued by the authors, the Editor, or the Editorial Board.
  • The original article will remain accessible in the archive for the scholarly record but will be clearly marked as “Retracted” on every page of the PDF.
  • The electronic version will contain a clear link to the retraction notice explaining the reason for the retraction.

Article Removal (Legal Reasons)

In extremely rare cases, an article may need to be completely removed from the journal’s online database due to legal considerations.

Article removal may occur if:

  • The article contains defamatory or unlawful content
  • It infringes legal rights or copyright
  • It becomes subject to a court order or legal directive
  • The article may pose serious public health or safety risks if acted upon

In such cases:

  • The article text will be removed from the database.
  • The article’s title, authorship details, and metadata will remain visible.
  • A notice will be displayed stating that the article has been removed due to legal reasons.

Article Replacement

In cases where a published article contains critical errors that could potentially lead to serious consequences, the authors may request to replace the flawed article with a corrected version.

In such cases:

  • The original article will be retracted according to the journal’s retraction procedures.
  • A corrected version of the article may be republished.
  • A clear link will be provided between the original article and the corrected version to maintain transparency in the publication record.

Preservation of the Scholarly Record

The International Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Electronics (IJAICE) is committed to preserving the integrity and transparency of scholarly communication. Even in cases of withdrawal or retraction, the journal maintains clear records and notices to ensure transparency for readers and researchers.

All decisions related to article withdrawal, retraction, removal, or replacement are made carefully by the Editorial Board in accordance with international publishing standards and ethical guidelines.

Note: APC will not be refunded under any circumstances once the payment is done and the article is published.
